Grainger Box Redesign Project
As the lead creative for the Grainger Box Redesign project, I spearheaded the initiative to update our packaging for compatibility with new automated technology. There were two evolutions and project bodies to leverage new carton technologies. The project's objective was to retain Grainger's strong branding while addressing technological constraints and scalability for diverse product lines. Key aspects included:
Initial Concepts: Collaborated with the DC Ops team to receive detailed plans and create initial concepts, which were refined based on comprehensive feedback.
Vendor Coordination: Worked closely with vendors such to ensure design feasibility with new technology. This partnership was crucial in aligning our creative vision with practical constraints.
Design Evolution: Addressed design inconsistencies, streamlined branding, and introduced new elements to enhance visual appeal and brand recognition. We introduced new elements that enhanced visual appeal and brand recognition, showcasing our collective creativity.
Scalability and Sustainability: Focused on creating designs that are cost-effective, environmentally sustainable, and adaptable for different product sizes and types. This approach highlighted our commitment to innovative and responsible design.
Stakeholder Engagement: Engaged in multiple meetings with business partners, including DC Ops, marketing leadership, and external vendors, to ensure alignment and successful implementation. These sessions ensured alignment, integrated diverse perspectives, and fostered a collaborative environment.
Future-Ready Solutions: Integrated ideas to innovative solutions like print-on-box technology to provide flexible and effective branding opportunities. This innovative approach underscored our team's forward-thinking mindset.
This project demonstrated my ability to lead complex design initiatives, manage cross-functional teams, and deliver impactful solutions that align with business objectives.
